API Terms

Effective October 11, 2026

These terms cover the strategy data you get through the Poker Study AI REST API and MCP server (Studio psk_keys) and through pokerdata.io API keys (together, the “API”). They add to, and don't replace, the Privacy Policy. The data you receive (ranges, frequencies, EVs, solver nodes and anything derived from them) is “API Data”.

Your key

  • A key belongs to one account. Don't share it, sell it, or ship it inside an app.
  • Keep keys on a server you control. A mobile or desktop app calls your server, and your server calls the API.
  • You are responsible for every request made with your key.

Caching and retention

You may store API responses to make your own app faster or work offline:

AccessAllowed useCache
pokerdata.io Starter (free key)Personal use and evaluationUp to 30 days
Poker Study AI Studio, pokerdata.io Pro and MaxPersonal use, and apps you build for other people (see below)Up to 30 days, then refetch or delete
  • Cache only responses to requests you actually made, for spots your users need.
  • When your subscription or key ends, delete cached API Data within 30 days. Personal study notes you wrote yourself are yours to keep.
  • Don't crawl the API to build a copy of a dataset, and don't bundle API Data inside an app download.

Personal practice

Any key may be used for your own study, including a private app only you use that caches responses under the rules above.

Apps used by other people

An app, site, bot or service that shows API Data to anyone other than you needs a paid plan with API access (Poker Study AI Studio, or pokerdata.io Pro or Max). There is no separate data license and we don't sell datasets for redistribution. In that app:

  • Fetch API Data from the live API under your own key, through your server, and cache it only as described above.
  • Show strategy to your users inside your product. Don't offer it for download or export in bulk (full range files, solver trees, or whole datasets).
  • Don't resell or sublicense API Data, or use it to build a competing data API.
  • Don't present API Data as an exact or certified GTO solution beyond what its source and documentation say.

Attribution

Wherever an app used by other people shows API Data, show “Strategy data from Poker Study AI” (or “from pokerdata.io” for pokerdata.io keys), linked to the site, on the same screen or in an About page the data screen links to. Private apps only you use don't need attribution.

Data sources and accuracy

API Data comes from third-party solver exports and our own solver, as listed in each dataset's config and in the API docs. It is provided as is, for study. We may change, re-solve or withdraw a dataset, and we may limit or revoke a key that breaks these terms.

Changes and contact

We will post changes here and update the effective date. Questions, or a use these terms don't cover: michael@hft.studio.
